Laura Anglade Quintet

Laura Anglade is a young, French-American jazz vocalist currently making a name for herself on the Canadian jazz scene and beyond. Her story-telling interpretations of the Great American Songbook and original approach to improvisation portray a soul beyond her years. Some of her idols include Carmen McRae, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Anita O’Day, and Shirley Horn. She performs regularly in local Jazz clubs in Montreal, and collaborates with musicians from Toronto, Ottawa and New York. She has participated in numerous Jazz festivals, including the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. All arrangements including originals are done by her quintet, whose debut album came out in June 2019 on Justin Time Records. Since then, Anglade has made appearances on Global News, Jazz Today, Whole Note Magazine, and recognized by Radio Canada’s Ici Musique as one of the top 5 female Jazz musicians to watch out for.
