R. Potvin G. Papillon E. Costello
Erin Costelo blends piano driven compositions with lyrics as often searing as they are sweet. Her first full length album was nominated for two Music Nova Scotia Award and an ECMA and captures the strength and fragility of her distinctively low, smokey voice in moody, unique arrangements that blend jazz, barrelhouse blues, boogie woogie and 60′s soul with her truthful melody driven ballads to create a sound that is all her own.

By the Fall of 2012 Montreal/Halifax singer-songwriter Gabrielle Papillon will have been touring full time for two years. In that time she has released two albums, criss-crossed the country 5 times, and showcased and performed at festivals and conferences all over Canada (venturing to Memphis and New York City for additional showcases as well). Her muse is the amalgamation of people in her life, or an imaginary scenario. Above all she loves the journey of a song.

With her new album “Play”, Roxanne
Potvin has achieved something that few artists ever succeed in doing – she’s expanded her style and grown as an artist while still keeping the grit and authenticity that is so appealing about her music. Her smart and sassy new album Play, finds the Montreal-based artist pushing new buttons and continuing her evolution from a stylish, bluesy guitar slinger to a more tuneful pop-orientated performer, free-spirited and varied.
