Nikada

This trio, created at the begining of 2002, faces a very special search: the construction, in a world of mixed and constantly changing identities, of an imaginary folklore, from fragments of collective and individual history.
Thus it is that in Damian Nisenson’s original compositions we find echoes of voices from old jewish music, jazz, tango, rock, latin and electronic music.
And from the fecund turmoil of these sonorous reflections a new music is born, and a new identity.
[muzik]from the red hills of nikada (2002) and [muzik]darksinging (2004), the two CDs of the trio, are filled with imaginary songs, dedicated to an imaginary landscape.
Nikada will be in concert in Montreal for the very first time, on Friday June 8th, 2012, at the Upstairs.
