French Bass player and composer, Olivier Babaz has gained a rich sideman experience on stage and in the studio in France, Indian Ocean and Canada. He focuses mainly on his creation projects such as Akoz duo and his various collaborations.
His trio compositions find their way between modern jazz and progressive music, surprisingly incorporating elements of Reunion Island and indian ocean's sounds and rythms.
He plays in a highly dynamic trio setting with Sylvain Ransy on piano and Mark Nelson on drums.
