Jérôme Beaulieu & Philippe Melanson
Jérôme Beaulieu
Born in the Eastern Townships, Jérôme discovers music at a very young age. After taking many years of classical lessons on the piano and the violon, he decides to pursue his college studies in jazz piano. As of today, Jérôme holds a Jazz Interpretation Bachelor's degree from University of Montreal. He continues to hone his playing, arranging and composing skills through various world, jazz and pop projects. His personal project, Trio Jérôme Beaulieu, came up with their first album this year on Effendi Records. You can also hear him playing in guitarist François Jalbert's quartet, who also released his first album this year.
Philippe Melanson
Philippe Melanson likes to play drums. He is from Acadie but he lives in Montreal now. He likes playing music with his friends: Adam Kinner, Eugénie Jobin Tremblay, Francois Bourassa, Joe Grass, Leif Vollebekk, Malcolm Sailor et Rafael Zaldivar. He has often traveled with these people to go play music: in China, India, Iceland and Mexico for example. He composes for TV these days and likes the idea of making more music with his computer.
