" The Claremont Standards Band was formed in 2003 and derived it's name from a long standing engagement at the Claremont Restaurant in NDG. The original members were Steve Rosenbloom, saxophones, Noel Perras vibraphone, Daniel Eastcott keyboards and Mira Choquette vocals. At the present the group consists of it's founding members as well as trumpet player Andy King, drummer Eric Thibodeau and bassist Sage Reynolds. Over the years the CSB has performed at many venues, including Upstairs in 2007 and released three CDs: Sundays at the Claremont (2004), Walk in the Woods (2006) and the soon to be " Live" at the Shaika Cafe. The band specializes in performing modern jazz tunes, originals by band members and well known standard jazz repertoire."
