Julien Fillion, born in Montreal, is a promising young musician. As a composer, it was with the band Jazzamboka that he stood out on the Montreal scene with a first album that won the Stingray Prize at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2017.

After having proven himself as a saxophonist for ten years, the multi-instrumentalist Julien Fillion decides to create his quartet in 2019. The formation is atypical, and the universe, out of the ordinary; his group, made up of two saxophonists-keyboardists and two drummers, has aroused interest from the start, with, among other things, participation in the Juarez Jazz Festival in 2019 and a first prize in the JPL Victo Jazz Jazz competition in 2020.

Révélation Radio-Canada 2021-2022, Julien Fillion releases his first album in November 2021. His music is located in an overlap between jazz, rock and pop; we find ourselves in contact with a surprising and dynamic work.

For this concert he will be accompanied by extremely talented and innovative musicians.
