Featuring original compositions and arrangements by Pierre François, the album “5 AM” showcases the deep chemistry of three musicians with a long history of collaboration. Through a diversity of tracks from straight-eighth ECM to Afro-Cuban to swing, the trio creates a spacious sound underlain by an infectious groove.
A regular on the Montreal jazz scene, Pierre François has played throughout North America and Europe with greats such as Jean-Pierre Zanella, Paul Brochu, Rémi Bolduc, André White, Fraser Hollins, Al McLean, Mike Moreno, Donny McAslin, André Leroux and many others.
