Maracujá, the passion fruit, fell from its tree for the first time on the stage of the Montreal Casino in 2003. Since then, the group has become the incontestable standard bearer for Brazilian music in Montreal, with fans of their unique and energetic style that go well beyond the city’s Brazilian community.
At its core, their modern sound is born out of the tangible synergy between four musicians of various rich cultural heritage: singer Elie Haroun, bassist André Faleiros, drummer Sacha Daoud, and keyboardist John Sadowy.
In April 2016, Maracujá launched its first album, full to the brim with its recognizable melodic style. Their musical identity is unmistakeable, and their verve irresistible. The fruit is ripe, and the table is set. It’s Maracujá in bloom!

The Sugar Darlings are an up and coming band out of Montreal. Officially forming in 2020, the band brings a dynamic blend of Blues, Soul, Funk and Rock n’ Roll.
The band is fronted by the charismatic Miche Love, who has been a staple in the Montreal blues scene for several years. Her powerful and sonorous voice balances the nostalgia of classic Soul and Gospel singers like Aretha Franklin and Etta James, with all the charms of contemporary pop, rock and funk music.

MiGRATIONS is intended to be a mosaic of compositions based on interviews with people from different cultural communities living in or having immigrated to Quebec. It crosses life paths and sheds light on the mixing of cultures. The music offered is colorful, direct, dynamic and touching. It invites a sensitive experience and, hopefully, a reflection on openness to others, an openness that is experienced through a genre based on listening and meeting: jazz.

Nick Adema leads an Amsterdam group that challenges the notions of our urban cityscape, yearning for a pragmatic future. Urban chaos is a facade of Metropolis life that strips away our perception of reality. Original in nature, the compositions offer moments of consistent dissonance, uniform chaos and melodic clarity.
Inspired by the climate of contemporary creative music, Nick has blended a series of compositions that is predicated on a frenzy of rhythmic and melodic questions. The players carry out the vision of this ensemble with clever intent, and meaningful dialogue.
This ensemble created there debut album recording in October 2023 in Wisselord studios which featured critically acclaimed saxophonist Noah Preminger (which is set to be released in Winter 2025); alongside their Canada wide tour which debuts shows in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Gatineau, Guelph, Toronto, Montreal, with masterclasses at the University of Toronto, Capilano University and Long and Mcquade.

Since its formation in 2014, Fuel Junkie has revealed itself as one of the most promising upcoming artists on the Montréal blues scene. Passionate about the blues at a very young age, Mark LeClerc founded the group with close friends met during his music studies. Singer and composer of the band, he came up with the idea of a saxophone section brought to the spotlight by modern arrangements.

The combination of a classic trio with three saxophones gives the band its unique identity that stands out on the blues scene. Creative interaction between the band members during solo sections make way for unexpected and standout moments at every concert. The group is known by its fans for the constant flow of energy and authenticity during every performance.

With a boundless, soaring voice and musical vision to match, Toronto-based songwriter Melissa Lauren is that rarest of performers, one as comfortable in jazz as in pop, as well as the space where the two genres converge. Whether covering a classic or elevating an original, Lauren never fails to locate a song’s emotional core. Her captivating third album, My Voice — produced by ace multi-instrumentalist Tyler Emond (Tyler Shaw, Alessia Cara, Matt Dusk) — finds Lauren exploring the human voice; it’s barriers, triumphs, inequities between voices, and how we can help amplify each other, via 11 songs perfectly reflecting the times.

The music presented by Bassist/Composer/Educator John Menegon, in collaboration with these exceptional musicians, pushes the boundaries of today’s music on the world stage. The intuitive, spontaneous nature of the music between the musicians in the Quartet is deeply rooted in the traditions that come out of the Free Bop Era of Ornette Coleman, Dewey Redman, and Paul Motian, to name a few. The music is created in the “moment of now!”
