Oná Ensemble is a Brazilian-Canadian chamber music group that blends jazz and is based on and inspired by the life force that is Brazilian music.
Although they are an emerging ensemble, each musician has achieved international recognition on the stages of Classical, Jazz, and World Music over the past 3 decades. The unique instrumentation of the ensemble, featuring two French horns, bassoon, reeds (flute, clarinet, saxophone), guitar, and percussion, provides
a captivating global and “classical” sound combined with the soul of Brazilian Jazz and Choro.
