Ségui Sô — which means “Return to the Roots” in the Bété language — is a musical project deeply rooted in tradition while embracing modernity. Through this album, Donald Dogbo explores the fusion of traditional rhythms from West and Central Africa with contemporary jazz sounds.
This project is a sonic journey that celebrates cultural heritage while infusing it with new and current energy. In collaboration with emerging musicians from Montreal, Ségui Sô offers a vibrant and moving performance where history, identity, and musical innovation converge.
