Dave Watts has played with international jazz stars such as Donny McCaslin, Sheila Jordan, Kenny Wheeler, Houston Pearson, Joel Frahm and Adam Rogers. Dave has also collaborated with many of Canada’s and Quebec’s top jazz musicians, including Julie Lamontagne, Ranee Lee, Bernard Primeau, Nicole Martin, Bruno Pelletier, Hugh Fraser and PJ Perry, and has toured Canada, France, Mexico and Asia. He can be heard on over 15 albums, two of which won Opus Awards and one was nominated for a Juno Award.
Recently, Dave released his debut album on the Effendi Jazz Label called “Will it Rain?”. Peter Hum, from the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, named it one of his top ten picks for Canadian 2010 jazz albums of the year.
