The Eamon van den Berg Quartet is rooted in the tradition (pioneered by African American artists and musicians of the twentieth century) of reinterpreting standards, popular songs and originals on a moment to moment basis, in the personal style of the performers.
This energetic quartet utilizes groove, communication, intuition, and improvisation to traverse the landscape and history of contemporary music; from early jazz to post bop and beyond.
