The Montreal Hard Bop Quintet performs seminal works from the revered hardbop school, with tunes by Art Blakey, Donald Byrd, Horace Silver, and Cannonball Adderley. Their repertoire also includes a number of original pieces composed by the band members and other local musicians. In form, spirit, and energy, they pay tribute to the timeless groove of an historic jazz epoch.
