Solarium consists of Louis Plouffe on saxophones (23 years old), Karl-André Rozankovic on piano/keyboard (24 years old), Vincent Dessureault on bass (27 years old), and Léo Minville on drums and guitar (23 years old).
After meeting at university and Cegep, the quartet shares not only their love of jazz with the audience, but also everything that inspires them; from Quebecois folk music to film music, to tarot cards and vaporwave. After a more traditional eponymous debut album, the group ventures into larger composition and arrangement projects with the double album Aube/Nocturne, offering 18 pieces paying tribute to Quebec culture and jazz history.
